The Queens County Crime Prevention Association has donated $1,250 to the Queens Care Society to be put towards its ongoing transportation initiative. The Crime Prevention Association is disbanding after many years of service to Queens County. It was originally established to help promote safety for children, youth and seniors in the area. They did this mainly by holding monthly breakfasts, assisted by members of the Liverpool Regional High School’s Key Club. The group is disbanding because there are just not enough younger volunteers to help, a situation many volunteer organizations are facing today.
A number of community organizations received donations from the Queens County Crime Prevention Association.
The donation to the Queens Care Society will go towards the establishment of a public transportation system in Queens County, initiated by QCS.
